William "Bill" Heichelbech

William “Bill” Heichelbech, age 90 of Evansville, Indiana formerly of Russellville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 3, 1927 to the late Wallace B. and Mary Knott Heichelbech. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 29 in Russellville, Kentucky and a life member of the VFW Post 1114 in Evansville, Indiana. He worked for the US Postal Service for 33 years and was the Indiana State President of the National Association of Postal Supervisors. He retired in 1985 as Postmaster of Russellville, Kentucky and served as President of the Russellville Kiwanis Club. He was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Sybil Cabiness Heichelbech.
He is survived by:

Funeral Services for William “Bill” Heichelbech will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Crabtree and Danny Williams officiating with burial to follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday will be held from 12:00 noon until the service hour of 2:00 pm.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
