Obituary

Mattie Stamper Duncan, age 83, of Russellville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was a Campton, Kentucky native born October 22, 1935 to the late Arthur Stamper and Bessie Linkous Stamper. She was a Western Kentucky University graduate where she received her degree in home economics, was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, 6th and Main Streets. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred H. “Buddy” Duncan.
She is survived by:

1 Son ~ David Coleman Duncan and Valorie ~ Bowling Green, KY

1 Daughter ~ Debra Duncan Rowe and Louis ~ Hebron, KY

1 Sister ~ Ann Cannon ~ Bowling Green, KY

1 Sister in law ~ Joyce Stamper ~ Louisville, KY

6 Grandchildren
7 Great Grandchildren

Funeral Services for Mattie Stamper Duncan will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 5, 2019 at First Baptist Church, 6th and Main Streets, with Bro. Joe Ball officiating and burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the church will be held Friday from 10:00 am until time of the service at 1:00 pm.
Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church or the Children’s Tumor Foundation.org to honor Nora Lee Rowe. Envelopes will be available at the Church.

Pallbearers: Ethan Phelps, Drake Duncan, Houston Maggard, Trey Rowe, Scott Rowe and Matthew Rowe.
